Program Overview

The department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering has a dynamic and active faculty doing cutting-edge research in biotechnology/biomolecular engineering, nano-pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical engineering, and chemical engineering. The program is the host to an NIH sponsored Biotechnology training program, a Department of Education sponsored GAANN fellowship program in pharmaceutical engineering, two NSF funded IGERT graduate fellowship programs in Nano-Pharmaceutics and Stem Cells, and an NSF and industry sponsored National Engineering Research Center for Structured Organic Particulate Systems.
