University of Massachusetts AmherstThe MS in Manufacturing Engineering degree is a 10-course (30-credit) program without a thesis requirement. Coursework requires a minimum of four three-credit core courses and at least six three-credit electives for a total of 30 credits. Two of the six electives should be chosen to attain further specialization in a sub-field (e.g., leadership and project management, materials, analytics, etc.); of the four remaining electives, students may take up to two practicum courses (related industry internship or an independent study) for six credits.
