2 Years On Campus Masters Program

University of New Haven

Program Overview

To address the growing demand and need for business acumen along with engineering and technical expertise in industry, the University of New Haven created the MBA/M.S.I.E. dual degree program. Offering 69 credits of coursework with the potential to waive up to nine credits, the program draws from 33 foundational credits in business areas like management, finance, and accounting along with 36 credits in industrial engineering topics such as operations research, quality analysis, and system simulation. Students joining the program are expected to have an undergraduate engineering or technical degree from an ABET-accredited program. Students complete separate MBA and industrial engineering research projects. These projects are the culmination of the learning that took place during the coursework and are chosen with the help of program advisors. Many past research projects were based on local industry needs.
