Program Overview

The mission of the Graduate Program in Economic Development (GPED) is to provide leaders and policy-makers with the tools they need to better understand the process of economic development, enabling them to help craft policies that expand the opportunities and achievements of people. The program leads to the M.A. degree in economics and is designed to meet the needs of participants that come from a diversity of backgrounds all over the world. It provides training that is appropriate for pursuing a variety of career paths, including careers in government, international organizations, academia, non-profit organizations, or the private sector.
