Program Overview

The Master of Arts degree administered by the center is an interdisciplinary program drawing on the expertise of an outstanding Latin Americanist faculty from the following departments: Anthropology, Art, Comparative Literature, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Public Affairs, Sociology, Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures, Women s Studies, and the Fowler College of Business. Emphasis in the program is placed on the central issue of Modernization and Urbanization in Latin America and offered through nine courses from nine different departments.
