The Teaching of Languages Other than English (LOTE) programs (French, Spanish, Italian, Latin) have received national recognition from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). The preparation of teachers of world languages is important in increasingly interdependent and multilingual world.
