MS Sport Management

2 Years On Campus Masters Program

West Virginia University

Program Overview

The master's degree program is designed for students who desire to work in the sport industry. There are two tracks. There is an on-campus track in which students complete 36 credit hours over the course of one or two years. All of these courses are offered in a traditional on-campus format. Within this track, many students obtain graduate assistantships, which involve working 20 hours/week providing service to a unit in return for a tuition waiver and stipend. Students generally gain experiences working within the WVU Athletic Department in areas such as marketing, promotions and compliance. These experiences allow students to learn in a hands-on fashion from sport administrators who run a Division I athletic department in a major conference.
