The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) believes that a student’s clinical experiences should supplement a challenging athletic training core curriculum. The core curriculum is based on the required subject matter meeting Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) Standards and competencies set forth by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA).
A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale A minimum of 25 hours of direct observation under the direction of a certified athletic trainer.
