The 48-credit hour master s degree is designed to provide students with the analytical, theoretical and procedural skills to excel in a broad range of professional contexts. Core courses in the first year of the Master of Historic Preservation degree program emphasize American architectural history, the history and theory of historic preservation, documentation, policy and law, materials analysis and conservation, and preparing students for their master s project.
