There is a nationally recognized need for trained clinical researchers: as of October 29, 2014, there were over 177,000 clinical trials worldwide, with approximately 46% located in the United States. In order to address the complex medical and dental issues facing the US and international community, a trained clinical research workforce is critical to ensure that research is aligned with the highest scientific, ethical, and regulatory standards.
