Program Overview

The MS in Clinical Exercise Physiology consists of a minimum 45-credit curriculum that can be completed in one calendar year.

The CAAHEP accredited Clinical Exercise Physiology program provides classroom and laboratory experiences that take full advantage of current knowledge and trends in rehabilitation of populations with cardiac, pulmonary and metabolic disorders through assessment and exercise programming.

Laboratory experiences take place within our excellent facilities at ESU.

In addition to the classroom and laboratory studies provided on-campus, students experience applied aspects of cardiac, pulmonary and metabolic rehabilitation through clinical rotations at various area medical centers.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification and/or registry of Clinical Exercise Physiology, as well as the American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification opportunities are offered.
