The Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) program at Chatham University provides academic and clinical training that will prepare its graduates to be certified and licensed to practice as extenders to the practicing physician, especially the primary care physician, in a competent and reliable manner. Students complete two didactic semesters at our Chatham Eastside facility before beginning their clinical rotations at various sites in the greater Pittsburgh area, other parts of the US and around the globe. Graduates of the program have achieved a 99% average first-time pass rate over the past five years on the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination (PANCE).
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or completion of the undergraduate requirements for the Integrated Graduate Degree Program, Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better on a scale of 4.0, as calculated by CASPA, Three references: one academic, one from a volunteer or work experience, and one other (candidate's choice) submitted through CASPA, PA Shadowing Experience Requirement, On Campus Interview , TOEFL ibT of 100, IELTS score: 7.0 or above
