Program Overview

The program prepares baccalaureate prepared RN's with at least one-year of experience in pediatrics to excel as PNPs using evidence-based practice guidelines, research, and the best available evidence to determine treatment plans for all pediatric patients. Students are encouraged to be active participants in every classroom and clinical setting. Students have opportunities to become engaged in scholarly activities and have presented their findings at national conferences such as Eastern Nursing Research Society, and the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Students graduate with either an MS or DNP degree and are eligible to take a national examination for certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner.
