Apply online to Graduate Studies and the College of Nursing. Provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended. Applicants applying for admission to graduate study must hold a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a program accredited by the ACEN or the CCNE, and hold a current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in the State of Texas or have an application for licensure in progress. Provide a transcript evaluation from a transcript evaluation service if the transcript is from a foreign institution. Possess a GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of coursework toward the undergraduate nursing degree and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all prior graduate course work. Provide three letters of recommendation. Current resume. Verification of a negative criminal background check and drug screening tests. Individual interview. Writing sample. Provide an Affidavit of Financial Support for International Students or a Letter of Sponsorship from the party. Provide a bank statement with at least the minimum amount stated on the Affidavit of Financial Support for International Students dated within six months of first enrollment. Minimum Scores: TOEFL score of 550/213/79 or IELTS score of 6.5 or ELS Language Centers 112 score of or The Language Company Level 9.
