Nursing Informatics is an emerging specialty in nursing that is a combination of computer science, cognitive science, information science, and nursing science that is focused on organization, analysis, and dissemination of information within a health care setting.

Part of the Nursing Health Systems Leadership Pathway, the Nursing Informatics specialty prepares advanced practice nurses in the analysis, design, and implementation of information and communication systems for health systems, as well as the use of data for effectiveness and informatics research, and the use of information technology.

Application Hold a BSN degree from a regionally accredited institution and a nationally accredited nursing program (CCNE or CNEA accreditation), equivalent to the one offered by the UAB School of Nursing; Possess an unencumbered and unrestricted nursing license to practice in the state where you plan to conduct your clinical practicum; Official Transcripts GPA 3.0 out of (4.0 scale) TOEFL iBT: 80 OR IELTS 6.5 overall 3 Letters of Recommendation Personal Essay CV GRE score of 297 OR GMAT score of 480 Interview
