Program Overview

This concentration focuses on developing the school nurses to expand their expanding knowledge, value, and skills. The 33 credit program consists of 24 credits of the school nurse instructional program and 9 credits in the College of Education courses. The student is also eligible for the Educational Services Endorsement as a certified school nurse when the 24 credits of the school nurse program is completed. Eight courses (NUR 5500, NUR 5510, NUR 5021, NUR 6170, NUR 5520, CSP 5601, SPC 5010, PSY 6830) are needed to complete the New Jersey School Nurse Instructional Certification.

Must have completed an undergraduate degree program at an accredited institution of higher learning in the United States or abroad, must hold a degree considered equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree, $50 USD application fee, Official transcripts from all previously enrolled universities a minimum US grade point average of 3.0 is required, If the original document(s) is not in English, a notarized English translation is required, Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL IBT (Internet based test) - 79, CBT (computer-based test) - 213, PBT (paper based test) - 550, IELTS: 6.0 overall band
