Program Overview

Candidates who do not pass either the Qualifying Examination or the Research Proposal
Defense, but who submit an acceptable research-based thesis, and pass a final oral
examination, may, at the discretion of the Advisory Committee, be awarded the M.S. degree.
A paper based on original research and accepted by a refereed journal may be submitted in
lieu of a thesis with the approval of the Advisory Committee

Proof of English proficiency TOEFL iBT (75 or higher overall and 15 or higher on every section), or IELTS (6.0 or higher overall and 6.0 or higher on every section), Two letters of recommendation, Test scores, Personal statement. An overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. Be a full-time undergraduate student for a minimum of 24 academic units at Clark.
