Application for Graduation. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university that is comparable to one offered by Bucknell, or a certificate of corresponding achievement from a foreign institution. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 in coursework comparable to that at Bucknell as well as in their undergraduate major. Applicants for a master of science in mathematics should have completed courses in real analysis - advanced calculus beyond calculus of several variables, linear algebra, and modern abstract algebra or probability. Students must demonstrate proficiency in real analysis and either abstract algebra or probability. Prior to attending Bucknell students must obtain a student visa F-1 status from the U.S. consulate in their home country. Minimum TOEFL score of 100 points on the internet-based test or a minimum IELTS score of 7.0.
