The Master of Science in Mathematics is offered at Washington State University, along with an Applied Mathematics Option, a Computational Finance Option, and a Mathematics Teaching Option. In all of our degree programs we combine a sound general core of fundamental mathematics with electives that reflect individual interests, needs, and opportunities. Each track allows for specialization within the field of mathematics, but all establish a general foundation that should be valuable to students in any mathematical work they do.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Typically, students should have completed a minimum of four years of study beyond grade 12. Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a B grade or better. Provide three letters of recommendation through the online application process.
