Program Overview

The environmental masters track takes advantage of the department s expertise in wilderness issues, Thoreau, critical animal studies, philosophy of technology and society, philosophy of ecology, literature and environment, synthetic biology, gender and environment, climate ethics, and the Anthropocene. In addition to faculty working directly in these areas, many faculty outside the department offer relevant courses and are available to students working on their graduate thesis.
