The procedures considered include: joinder of parties and structure of law suits in complicated multi-party suits; duplicative litigation and use of stay orders, injunctions, consolidation, transfer to a more convenient forum, and transfer to the Multi District Panel; class actions; discovery and trial in complex cases; and res judicata and collateral estoppel.
