Program Overview

This course offers a trial practice workshop in environmental litigation. Its classes follow the progress of a typical case from client interviews to complaint and answer, discovery, expert testimony (direct and cross), motions and oral argument. Grading will be based on written and oral exercises; no examination. This course was previously taught as Toxic Tort Litigation Practice. This course will be taught by William Goodell who is a sole practitioner specializing in environmental and toxic damage litigation. He was formerly an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Louisiana, and has also presented the Environmental Trial Advocacy course at Tulane. (1 credit).
