This course is a study of the formation, rights and obligations in formal and informal family relationships, and the breakdown of marriage and its incidents such as nullity of marriage, divorce, division of property, support, and custody. The course will treat the family law of both the civil law and common law jurisdictions of the United States. (3 credits).
