Program Overview

As the title suggests, this seminar will focus on theoretical and doctrinal issues in intellectual property law. The course will be devoted to exploring thoroughly the law and policy of important current topics in intellectual property, including file sharing, pharmaceutical patents, and grey market goods. Each student will be required to write and present an original research paper on an issue in copyright, trademark, or patent, or a related field. To enroll, a student must have completed the survey course in Intellectual Property, and at least one other IP course. (3 credits).
