Program Overview

Law and Entrepreneurship is a course that introduces law students to the kinds of questions that arise in new social ventures, start-ups, non-profits and other early stage projects. This will be a hands-on course where students will be introduced to the practice of entrepreneurship through a variety of means, including a standard casebook, guest attorneys and entrepreneurs, and specialized final writing projects. The idea is that students will emerge with a portfolio of documents, a writing sample, and insight into the workings of this emerging and exciting field. This course is recommended for students interested in the following areas: business, IP, non-profits, and solo practice. (3 Credits).
