Program Overview

This course covers various national security strategies for the United States from a historical perspective. Although much of the course focuses on historical events, lessons from the past will be used to examine current geo-political controversies, including but not limited to threats of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Given the significance of the maritime industry to national security, the shipping industry and issues of global trade will also be considered. (2 Credits).
