The social work profession is geared towards preventing and ameliorating social problems to enhance the quality of human life. Social work practice requires a high level of dedication, skill and knowledge. In our programs, students learn to intervene with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities, evaluate the effects of those interventions, as well as advocate for human rights and social and economic justice. With this training, our graduates are able to make important impacts in our communities and contribute substantially to the field of social work.
3.0 GPA in upper division coursework. 3.25 for Advanced Standing, Interview with Admissions Representative, Test scores: TOEFL minimum required score of 80, IELTS minimum required score of 6.5 overall band. Letter of Intent/Statement of Purpose., 3 Letters of Recommendation, Resume/CV and Sample research/writing sample. Students with a GPA below 3.0 may be required to submit GRE or GMAT scores.
