he social work profession is geared towards preventing and ameliorating social problems to enhance the quality of human life. Social work practice requires a high level of dedication, skill and knowledge. In our programs, students learn to intervene with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities, evaluate the effects of those interventions, as well as advocate for human rights and social and economic justice. With this training, our graduates are able to make important impacts in our communities and contribute substantially to the field of social work.
