Program Overview

Entomology introduces principles of insect study, including insect structure, insect development, evolutionary insect history and its ecological significance.Nematology is the scientific discipline concerned with the study of nematodes, or roundworms. Although nematological investigation dates back to the days of Aristotle or even earlier, nematology as an independent discipline has its recognizable beginnings in the mid to late 19th century. The course offers independent research in entomology leading to an honors thesis. Student will be mentored by a faculty member. Projects may involve inquiry, design, investigation, scholarship and discovery.
