The one-year M.A. program includes a basic set of courses in the student's own area of interest, supplemented by advanced courses in chemistry and, when appropriate, biochemistry, biology, mathematics, and physics. Students admitted to the M.S. program continue beyond coursework and carry out a research project under the guidance of a chemistry faculty member. M.S. students also participate in the departmental colloquium and present a seminar in their chosen specialty.
