The graduate program in anthropology offers a master of arts degree designed to provide an organized course of study for students who wish to pursue inquiry into anthropology beyond the baccalaureate level and to become acquainted with professional work in anthropology. Graduate training is based on core courses in the history, theories, and methods of anthropology and opportunities to pursue a wide range of theoretical, ethnographic and archaeological interests. Our graduate students specialize in either sociocultural anthropology or anthropological archaeology.
