Program Overview

The Department of Communication offers work leading to degrees at the master’s and doctoral levels and participates in the interdepartmental concentrations in Black Studies, Gender and Women’s Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies, and Survey Research Methodology.

The department goal is to produce scholars and researchers who will be critical consumers and producers of research about communication, whether in academic or applied settings, and who will contribute to the growth of knowledge in those settings.

Application A 4 years bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) earned at an accredited college or university is required. Official yearly or semester wise mark sheets for each examination attempt, including failed or repeated exams. Official university-issued certification of degree and date awarded. GPA 3.0 out of (4.0 scale) Personal Statement (600 words) 3 Letters of recommendation CV GRE Writing  Sample TOEFL iBT: 95 (Listening 24, Writing 22, Reading 24, Speaking 24) OR IELTS 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in each section
