MS Economics

The Master of Science in Economics serves the dual purpose of preparing students for doctoral study and for employment in business and government. Graduates from the program have had success in finding positions with public utilities, state and federal government agencies, private industry and financial institutions. Graduates have also gone on to obtain doctorates at Oklahoma State University and other major universities throughout the United States.The degree offers a plan of study that emphasizes quantitatively-oriented classes. The program also has sufficient flexibility for students to take course work in other disciplines if so desired. Students also have the opportunity to observe and participate in current research through the department s ongoing series of workshops in which the faculty from OSU and other universities participate.
