The ExternalGraduate School--Newark offers students a variety of advanced Arts & Sciences degrees, from the M.F.A. to the Ph.D. Students interested in an interdisciplinary focus can choose the Liberal Studies M.A., which offers students the opportunity to create their own curriculum, and the Women's Studies concentration, which permits students from different disciplines to focus on gender-related issues and theories.
