The non-thesis Master of Arts in Political Science provides students with specialized qualifications needed for professional careers in federal, state, or local government. Students admitted to this program may also add the Graduate Certificate in Global Justice and Security Studies (GJSS), which expands opportunities in governmental careers as practitioners, whether it be in the field of homeland security, law enforcement, or as analysts within the U.S. intelligence or defense communities.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution. Typically, students should have completed a minimum of four years of study beyond grade 12. Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a B grade or better. Provide three letters of recommendation through the online application process.
