Program Overview

The Master of Urban Planning & Policy (MUPP) program at UIC is the only professional planning program in the Chicago metropolitan area that is fully accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board. With a large and diverse faculty and student body, the MUPP program offers a comprehensive range of courses, including many specialized electives and studios. Class sizes are typically small, with multiple sections of required courses offered in both day and evening. Graduates can connect to a large network of alumni, both locally and across the region, country, and world.

Application A 4 years bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) earned at an accredited college or university is required. Official yearly or semester wise mark sheets for each examination attempt, including failed or repeated exams. Official university-issued certification of degree and date awarded. GPA 3.0 out of (4.0 scale) Personal Statement 3 Letters of recommendation CV Applicants must submit a recent paper, essay, or project of which they are the sole author or designer. TOEFL iBT: 80 (Listening 17, Writing 21, Reading 19, Speaking 20) OR IELTS 6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in each section
