Program Overview

The Department of Art and Art Professions has partnered with Long Island University s (LIU) Palmer School of Library and Information Science to offer a dual degree program in Costume Studies and Library Science. In addition to an MA in Costume Studies (ARCS), students can earn a MS in Library and Information Science (MSLIS), which is accredited by the American Library Association. The program combines the rigorous study of costume studies with professional qualification to give graduates a competitive edge in the evolving fields of information science, digital humanities, curatorial studies, and data archiving.
