The School of Aviation in the Faculty of Science offers the degrees of Master of Science (MSc) by research, Master of Philosophy (MPhil), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) for exceptional students at the postgraduate level in areas relating to aviation. A higher research degree requires the student to focus on a major research project under the supervision of one or two academic supervisors. Staff and students in the School of Aviation undertake research in all aspects of the following: Law & Regulations Airport Operations Management Airline Corporate Management Safety & Accident Prevention Airline Operational Management Airport Planning Security Aviation Human Factors Airline Accident Investigation Techniques Inflight Services Management Air Traffic Management Ground Safety Investigation Airline Incident Investigation
An appropriate degree of Bachelor with Honours from the University of New South Wales or a qualification considered equivalent from another university or tertiary institution at a level acceptable to the Research Committee of the appropriate Faculty, TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
