The PhD Art, Design and Media provides doctoral candidates with the opportunity to make an original contribution of knowledge to the fields of fine arts, design, media arts, curating, art theory, art education and their interdisciplinary fields through independent, supervised research and investigation. Candidates can make this contribution via practice and/or theory alone. Recognised Master degree (with a substantial research component), or a recognised four-year, Bachelor degree (with a substantial research component) with first or upper second class honours, IELTS of 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest), TOEFL ibT 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking), PTE of 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest), Successful completion with a minimum overall grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C in the writing component, CAE 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest), CPE 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest), ANU College Access Program Successful completion with a minimum of 70% overall, Grade C+ or 70% in English
