Program Overview

Initially the research and postgraduate activities of the Institute of Physics were funded by BNDE, which in 1974 passed this responsibility to FINEP. Subsequently, financing from CNPq, CAPES and FAPERJ complemented these resources. In 1996, four Institute groups were selected to receive support from PRONEX / MEC / FINEP. Since 1999, several groups have received support from FAPERJ's Scientists of Our State program, and in 2001 IF / UFRJ became the headquarters of the Millennium Institute MCT / World Bank for Quantum Information.

Completed Electronic form; Letter of introduction issued by the Brazilian Diplomatic Mission after approval by Celpe-Bras; Birth or Marriage Certificate (original and copy); School record and Certificate of Completion of Master degree or equivalent: original and translated (if not in Portuguese); Registration Agreement Term (TCM) and Financial Responsibility Term (TRF): Originals in 2 copies of each term with issue date less than 3 months from the date of registration at UFRJ; Statement by the source of scholarship or school credit of the Government of your country, indicating the amounts and duration of the benefit(original and copy); Physical and mental health certificate issued in the last 90 days; Certificate of approval at Celpe-Bras, when applicable (original and copy); Passport (original and copy); Updated student visa (VITEM-IV) (original and copy); Proof or protocol of registration in the Register of Individuals (CPF); 2 photos size 3x4 cm.
