The EdD in Counselling & Psychotherapy (CP) Program is primarily for students who are already engaged in a career in counselling services in an educational and/or community setting. This degree emphasizes the role of counsellor in the educational system, the acquisition of effective supervisory and consultative skills, the development and assessment of student counselling services, and the advanced study of counselling theory and practice. Through intensive coursework and supervised practicum, this program provides practicing professionals with the advanced knowledge and skills for work in leadership positions in counselling practice in educational settings.

Additional Information & Requirements

A master s degree in counselling from the University of Toronto with a standing of B+ or better, or its equivalent from a recognized university, TOEFL ibT of 93 with 22 in writing and speaking, MELAB of 85, IELTS of 7.0 (Academic)with at least 6.5 for each component, COPE of 76 (with at least 22 in each component and 32 in the writing component), International ESL Program- a final grade of B in Level 60, Academic transcripts, 2 Recommendation letters, CV, Evidence of relevant professional experience is preferred, Evidence of relevant research experience is preferred, Paid work experience or volunteer experience, Successful professional experience as a counsellor, Statement of Intent
