Classics graduate programs have strengths in Greek and Roman history, Greek and Latin literature and, distinct from most other classics programs, a long tradition of work on ancient philosophy. Our students can also work on subjects and sub-disciplines not traditionally included in classics departments, including late-antique, patristic, Byzantine and medieval philosophy, theology and religion.
