Resource and Environmental Management PhD

In this doctor of philosophy (PhD) program students gain exposure in three core areas: environmental sciences, resource and environmental policy and planning, and ecological and environmental economics. Research will integrate elements of two of these three areas. REM program requirements, directed by educational goals, provide students with a solid understanding of the interplay of historical, biophysical and socio-cultural factors; Indigenous/First Nations Perspectives; resource use and sustainability; geospatial, statistical and modeling methodologies; decision making, communication, conflict resolution, and legislative/regulatory frameworks as they relate to resource management.
