Program Overview

The doctorate in literature, option German Studies, is based on participation in seminars - one of which is in comparative literature - and writing a thesis on an aspect of German literature or German-speaking culture. By a thesis that demonstrates a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge in one of the five options of the Ph.D. (literature), the student must demonstrate his ability to conduct an independent research.
