Program Overview

The Doctor of Philosophy program engages students in a program of study and research in French literature and/or linguistics approved by the department. At the beginning of their course of study, students meet individually with either the Associate Chair or Graduate Coordinator in order to determine course selection with a view to ensuring that the student has a well-rounded program and, considered in conjunction with the undergraduate degree, has a broad knowledge of the discipline.
