Program Overview

The Division of Nephrology provides both attending and consultative support for patients with actual or predicted kidney disorders. This includes patients with acute or chronic abnormal glomerular filtration rate, proteinuria, hematuria, hypertension, electrolyte disturbances, anemia, and bone diseases. The Division participates in the renal care team that provides direct care of patients with renal insufficiency who are likely to require renal replacement therapy (RRT), and directly supervises the RRT and related issues.
