Program Overview

This doctorate (Ph.D.) will allow you to develop your autonomy in basic research, by touching the specializations of biochemistry that combine structural biochemistry, molecular biology and clinical biochemistry. You will achieve advanced knowledge of functional genomics, proteomics, enzymology, regulation of gene expression and the structure of proteins and nucleic acids. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the Universit de Sherbrooke benefits from a unique research position in Canada.

Holding a grade 2 e cycle biochemistry or demonstrate a satisfactory preparation, Pass a written English test; Provide three letters of recommendation; Provide an updated curriculum vitae; Submit a short document (5 to 7 pages) outlining key professional and academic achievements, motivations to undertake the program, career planning, and ultimately, research interests and related organizational issues; Interview, TOEFL: minimum 100 (iBT) with a minimum of 20 on each section, IELTS: at least 7 (general scores) with a minimum of 6.5 on each section, TOEIC: have obtained a minimum of 850, Successful completion of the Written French Test (TFE) or Uniform Test of French, Language of Instruction (EUL) at the college level approved by the Quebec Ministry responsible for Graduate Studies
