PhD The PhD in Anthropology program involves courses, a comprehensive exam, and a thesis. It can normally be completed in four years of full-time study. At the graduate level we offer a coursework-based MA program which does not involve fieldwork and is designed to be completed in 12 months; a thesis-based MA program which requires ethnographic fieldwork; and a PhD program which requires ethnographic fieldwork. We also offer a one-year graduate diploma which does not require research.
Master's degree in an appropriate area of study. IELTS: A minimum overall band score of 6.5, with at least a band 6 in reading and writing. TOEFL: A minimum score of 550 on the paper-based test, or 79 on the internet-based TOEFL (iBT) with a minimum score of 20 in reading and writing, and not less than 17 in listening and speaking.
