Program Overview

This program is designed to provide professional training in psychological assesment, therapy and other psychosocial and instructional interventions, professional consultation and prevention. Graduates find careers working with children, adolescents and families in school, mental health, private practice and research settings. The PhD in School & Clinical Child Psychology (SCCP) Program continues the training provided in the MA program. The PhD degree is intended to meet the academic requirements of the College of Psychologists of Ontario for registration as a Psychologist.

Additional Information & Requirements

An appropriate four-year honours degree in psychology or equivalent and MA in psychology or equivaent from a recognized university, with a standing grade equivalent to a University of Toronto A- or better in the final year, TOEFL ibT of 93 with 22 in writing and speaking, MELAB of 85, IELTS of 7.0 (Academic)with at least 6.5 for each component, COPE of 76 (with at least 22 in each component and 32 in the writing component), International ESL Program- a final grade of B in Level 60, Academic transcripts, 2 Recommendation letters, CV, Evidence of relevant professional experience is preferred, Evidence of relevant research experience is preferred, Paid work experience or volunteer experience, Successful professional experience as a counsellor, Statement of Intent
