The School of Journalism and Communication was founded as the Film and Broadcasting Special Program at the university (formerly Jinling University) in 1936. It was the first educational institution of film and broadcasting in China. The founder Mr. Sun Mingjing was a pioneer of China s media and film education and an early member of the Chinese committee at the UNESCO.
