Program Overview

This specialty is aimed at studying issues related to the protection of plants from harmful organisms (pests, diseases, weeds) cause economic damage to crop production. For the successful development of the specialty, students receive deep knowledge on species composition, biology, ecology of harmful and quarantine organisms and control measures against them. After completing the course specialists acquire the skills to conduct phytosanitary monitoring, complex protective measures of agricultural plants against pests, diseases and weeds, including quarantine objects; conducting all stages of quarantine inspections at border checkpoints.
